
Call for papers - Gender and Work in Literature and the Arts (1870-1930)
The goal is to analyze the relationship between gender and work in literature and the arts between the 19th and 20th centuries, a period in which work became central to human life. The focus will be on women workers' contributions and culture's role in shaping or challenging dominant narratives about work.
The topics of interest range from representations of women workers in literature and the arts to the role of authors and artists in representing female labor.
