Call for Papers: Intersectional Singularity: A Speculative Fiction Discourse on Race, Sex, and Gender from Machine Learning to Sentient Droids

The editorial series New Suns: Race, Gender, and Sexuality in the Speculative promotes studies on the intersections between race, gender, sexuality and interdisciplinary speculative and engaging fields of research through literary, film and cultural studies in the past, present and future.

The University of California Santa Barbara has announced a Call for Papers titled Intersectional Singularity: A Speculative Fiction Discourse on Race, Sex, and Gender from Machine Learning to Sentient Droids, for the writing of one of the three sections of the upcoming book of the series, which will be published in November 2025. The complete documents are expected to contain between 6 and 8000 words.

The deadline for submitting the abstract is March 14, 2024.
