The Discursive Construction of Contemporary Family Types
A new online issue of degenere - Journal of Literary, Postcolonial and Gender Studies entitled "The discurisive Construction of Contemporary Family Types" by Prof. Giuseppe Balirano, Jai Mackenzie and Angela Zottola is available. The tenth issue focuses on exploring the social norms, structures and practices that shape conceptions of family and parenthood. Through a linguistic analysis of media representations of contemporary families, the article trace the current discursive landscape on families and parenting, inside and outside the heteronormative ideal.
