Joint Statement on Best Practices for Countering Gendered De-Democratization
The CCINDLE project has released a critical Joint Statement on Best Practices for Countering Gendered De-Democratization. This document identifies "anti-gender politics" not merely as a cultural disagreement, but as a systemic threat and a core tool used by populist and far-right actors to undermine democratic participation and pluralism.
The report outlines key recommendations to strengthen democratic resilience:
- Recognize Anti-Gender Politics as a Systemic Democratic Threat
- Counter Gendered Violence as a mechanism of De-democratization
- Defend Democratic Knowledge Production and Epistemic Pluralism
- Strengthening Civil Society and Intersectional Alliances
The statement is the result of collaborative "Feminist Democracy Labs" and conferences held across Europe. You can find the attached copy of the document here.
