“Una giornata con Elena” - fourth edition
The fourth edition of the event “Una giornata con Elena” is held on Monday 27th June at 5 p.m. in Aula Magna in Palazzo Bo. The ceremony will prize the winner of the Elena Cornaro Study Award that was announced by the Elena Cornaro University Centre for gender studies and policies and promoted by: Associazione Alumni, Associazione degli Amici dell’Università di Padova and Solgar Italia Multinutrient S.p.a.
The event opens with the greetings of Daniela Mapelli, the Rector of the University of Padua and the piece “Voce che apre” that the writer Mariangela Gualtieri will perform together with Cesare Ronconi. The performance embodies the core principle of the Award: make visible women who promote and spread academic and scientific knowledge.
The event will also guest the speech “the value of gender in research” held by Antonella Viola, immunologist at the University of Padua and scientific director of the “Istituto di Ricerca Pediatrica Città della Speranza”.
To attend the event, reservation is required.
Opened to all the Italian universities, the Elena Cornaro Study Award aims at consider the gender equality topic by promoting studies and research on the role of women or on the female presence in the University of Padua or in the national university system.
