Abandoning the Idealised White Subject of Legal Feminism

On the 29th of January 2024, from 13.30 to 14.30, the seminar "Abandoning the Idealised White Subject of Legal Feminism" will be held as part of the series of seminars "Multi-disciplinary Gender Research" organized by the Cambridge University Center for Gender Studies.

The event will be chaired by Dr Lucia Kula, Professor of Law and Gender of the Faculty of Law of the University of London SOAS. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach to law, borders, gender violence and decolonization. She is a former refugee from Angola and writes about law, violence and forced displacement in the African context. Her work has a critical focus on women’s experiences and expansive gender identities.
