Gender and Sexuality workshop

The Gender and Sexuality History Graduate Workshop is a well-established forum for all those interested in the historical dimensions of gender, sexuality, feminism and masculinity. The initiative encourages submissions from Masters and PhD students, as well as early career researchers, working on gender and sexuality (broadly defined) across all time periods and geographies.

The workshop provides an opportunity to present finished or work-in-progress research to a friendly and supportive audience of peers. Papers are likely to be 20-30 minutes in length, but submissions for longer formats or shorter paired papers for panel discussion are accepted too. The format and length are flexible and the paper can be given in the manner that best suits the presenter’s material with discussion to follow.

During the Michaelmas 2022 Term, sessions will take place in a hybrid format, with room details and Zoom links circulated via the mailing list. Workshops begin at 5pm, unless otherwise stated, on Tuesdays 6 June 2023.
