Workshop "Imagining the Futures of Pride Events between Activism and Academia"
On 13 June, from 2 to 6 PM (GMT – London time), London Metropolitan University will host a hybrid event (in-person and online) on the future of Pride, featuring two roundtable discussions with academics and activists. This hybrid workshop explores Pride events from a dual perspective—academic and activist—with a particular focus on their future in a globalized world. Through dialogue among LGBTQIA+ scholars, activists, and Pride organizers, the event will offer participants an opportunity to examine the social and political significance of Pride from an intersectional and transnational point of view. The contributions, coming from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, will be enriched by critical reflections, analysis, and both personal and professional experiences.
