Feminist Digital Justice: Southern feminist perspectives on the digital

Martedì 18 aprile 2023, alle ore 17, il Centro Elena Cornaro ospita Anita Gurumurthy, Executive Director di ITForChange in India e attivista per i diritti delle donne nella comunicazione.

A partire dalla Declaration Of Feminist Digital Justice, adottata durante la 67esima Commissione delle Nazioni Unite sullo Status delle Donne (CSW), Anita Gurumurthy condividerà alcune delle più recenti campagne relative alle proposte femministe per lo sviluppo delle tecnologie digitali e della loro governance, con un particolare focus sul Sud globale.

ABSTRACT

Starting from the Declaration Of Feminist Digital Justice, recently launched at the 67th UN Commission on the Status of Women, Anita Gurumurthy will address issues concerning how paths of knowledge and communication in contemporary societies can be renewed so as to reflect the roles played by women as agents of innovation and change, while problematizing those very concepts from a Southern perspective.
