
The Portraits of Women
The Portratits of Women is a project realised by UniPD students with the aim of spreading awareness about gender-based discrimination worldwide and promoting a message of women's empowerment. The mission of this project is to give voice to women's stories through photography, but is not just a photography exhibition. It's a deep dive into the reality that women live every day.
The project, launched in the first week of March 2025, involves 42 students and is developed with the scientific support of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Şimşek, visiting associate professor at the FISPPA Department of the University of Padua and professor at the Department of Communication Sciences, Faculty of Communication, Hacettepe University (Turkey), and Prof. Giuliana Cortese, lecturer at the Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Padua.
The inauguration is on Saturday May 10th at 16.00 in Palazzo Bo' Aula Gabbin.
The exhibition will be open from May 12th to 23th from 16:00-19:00 in Complesso Beato Pellegrino Disll building Hall.
The project will continue from May 26th to June 10th with a series of events that serve as opportunities for exchange and dialogue, where the public can interact with experts and organizations in the field. To stay updated about the project: click here
